Job Description:
A company is looking for a Facility Coder Outpatient.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze medical information and accurately code diagnostic and
procedural information in accordance with national coding
guidelines
Abstract clinical diagnoses and procedure codes from patient
encounters and ensure proper documentation status
Ensure compliance with coding rules and regulations while working
under general supervision
Required Qualifications
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge and
specialized training in medical record keeping
Active certification as a CCA, CCS, COC, CPC, RHIT, or RHIA
Six months of outpatient coding experience in an acute care
inpatient facility
Knowledge of ICD CM/PCS and CPT4 coding principles
Ability to work effectively in a remote setting using common office
programs and coding software
