Job Description:
A company is looking for a Senior Scala Backend Engineer to
develop high-volume data engineering products in a remote
setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in agile development projects for batch and real-time
data processing
Implement APIs and streaming services while maintaining database
storage and optimizing queries
Explore and implement next-generation technologies within the Scala
ecosystem
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in Scala with a solid understanding of
functional programming
Production experience with Scala modern functional stack like Cats,
Cats Effect, or ZIO
Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL data stores such as
Elasticsearch or PostgreSQL
Experience with microservice architecture and developing REST
APIs
Familiarity with Docker containers or Kubernetes
