  • Job Details
  • Registered Nurse position in Lafayette, Louisiana at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.
  • Unit accommodates first timers with 2 years experience.
  • Patient diagnoses include chest pain, CAD, PVD, arrhythmias, DM, COPD exacerbation, PNA, HTN, MI, renal failure, PE, CHF, GI bleed, syncope.
  • Special procedures include pre/post cath lab, PPM/AICD, ablations, vascular surgeries, and titration of drips.
    • Job Requirements
    • Current/valid Louisiana State License or Compact License required.
    • BLS certification required.
    • ACLS certification required if it expires within 30 days of start.
      • Schedule Information
      • Every other holiday required.
      • Can be pulled to all other inpatient units.
      • Unable to guarantee specific scheduling requests.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Telemetry monitoring and chest tubes are part of the unit's special equipment.
          • Additional Details
          • Drivers License/State ID required, must be in color.
          • Background Check required within 30 days of start.
          • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray required within 12 months.
