Job Description:The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional
caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for
assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients.
The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology,
therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination
of care with other health team members.ScopePrepares for study
initiation by gaining an in-depth knowledge of the protocol,
developing patient recruitment plans, and developing operational
implementation plans for impact to care site resources.Guides
patients and their caregivers to make informed decisions,
collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to allow for timely
screening, diagnosis, treatment, and increased supportive care
across the research continuum. Screens potential patients for
protocol eligibility. Presents trial concepts and details to the
patients, participates in the informed consent process, enrolls
patients to study and patient navigation.Plans, coordinates, and
evaluates nursing care of participants. Oversees patient care in
compliance with protocol requirements. Provide clinical services as
required including patient assessments. Disburses investigational
drug providing patient teaching regarding administration. Maintains
investigational drug accountability (if applicable). Responsible
for reviewing protocol specific billing guides and submitting
billing information to appropriate personnel. Oversees the
preparation of orders by physicians to assure that protocol
compliance is maintained. Communicates with physicians regarding
study requirements, need for dose modification, and adverse event
reporting. Participates in data collection, entry, and reporting
for the subjects.In collaboration with the treating physician,
reviews patients for changes in condition, adverse events,
concomitant medication use, protocol compliance, response to study
drug and thoroughly documents all findings. May be responsible for
education of clinic staff regarding clinical research.Participates
in required training and education programs as well as monitoring
and auditing activities. May work directly with sponsors. May
participate in scheduling monitoring and auditing visits, as well
as interact with the monitors/auditors while on site.Minimum
QualificationsBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)Current licensure
as a registered nurse in state of practiceTwo years of nursing
experienceExperience in Microsoft office and electronic medical
record systemsPreferredCurrent BLS or ACLS
certificationCertification (certification by one of the clinical
research associations, i e , SoCRA, ACRP)IATA Training and
CertificationExperience with clinical trial management systems and
electronic data capture systemsExperience in clinical
researchKnowledge of FDA regulations and GCPTo perform this job

and -Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex
and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes
frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care,
accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.- and
-Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer
patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and
equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and
including heavy items.- and -Need to walk and assist with
transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing
supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and
portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to
navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on
the floor, etc).- and -May be expected to stand in a stationary
